ABOUT
St George's Anglican is a warm gathering of people, who are learning to know and hear God better. We meet weekly and would love to have you join us. We’ve been a focus for ministry and worship in the Anglican tradition in the Thames community for almost 150 years.
The emphasis of our life together has been to welcome and value people of diverse ages, backgrounds and interests
St George's has a long history. It is now a historical building. If you would like to read some of its history, click here.

THE VICAR

The Rev'd Brendon & Pip Wilkinson
Brendon worked for many years as an electronic technician before entering St John's Theological College in 2010 to train for ministry. After ordination he served in Northern Wairoa and since 2017 has been vicar in Thames.
While Brendon’s ministry is often the public face of parish life, Pip works faithfully beside him, offering constant encouragement and practical support. She is involved in the life of the church through technology, liturgy, reading, and music ministry, helping services run smoothly and creating a welcoming environment for worship.
Pip’s support is vital to Brendon’s ministry, both in the day-to-day work of parish life and in the care they offer together to the community. Alongside her church involvement, she has also been a dedicated teacher for many years.
Both Brendon and Pip come from families with strong traditions of ministry.
